WOMEN TRAFFICKING DOCUMENTARY

ERNO Coordination Office in co-production with its member TV Stations: RTS, Serbia; MTV, Macedonia; TVR, Romania, BNT, Bulgaria has produced the Women Trafficking documentary which investigates different aspects of this problem in the SEE region.

Trafficking victims talk about their experiences, how traffickers who were even close friends took advantage of their poverty or problematic family situations luring them by false promises such as high pay, good living accommodations and selling them for little money, how they crossed the borders and were forced to prostitute, routinely beaten and maltreated, and stripped of their passports and visas.

The documentary follows the trail of the unfortunate girls from their homes and villages through the main trafficking routes to the final prostitution destinations in Spain and later in the regional safe houses where they are assisted in adapting to living again as free human beings.
