SHARING OUR EXPERIANCE; ERNO AS A MODEL OF GOOD COOPERATION ERNO news exchange was presented as a positive example and a model of good co-operation and news exchange platform between the broadcasters to the representatives of Portuguese-language public television broadcasters at a round table held in Lisbon, Portugal, from March 5 to 7, 2007.
The round table aimed at studying a project to establish an exchange network, first of its kind in the Portuguese-speaking world, which targets the production, co-production and exchange of quality content (news, documentaries, sports, educational and youth programmes, etc.) via satellite and internet.
Participants - the managers of television channels examined needs and possibilities of potential partnerships and strategy to raise the resources for the network. Their discussions also covered a number of topics related to trainings and technical facilities which they find essential for communication, exchange, co-production and the promotion of dialogue and cultural diversity in Lusophone countries. It was organized by UNESCO, the Executive Secretariat of the Community of Portuguese-Speaking Countries (CPLP) and Portugal’s National Commission for UNESCO.
