EDITORIAL BOARD AND PSB's GENERAL DIRECTORS MEETING
Meeting of the ERNO Editorial Board and General Directors of the regional ERNO member PSBs and their authorized representatives from the news desks and foreign news departments including the guest speakers from UNESCO, EBU, Nordvision, BTC (Broadcast Training Center) and YLE (Finnish broadcasting Company) was held on November 8-11, 2007, in Budapest, Hungary.
All the participants agreed that ERNO needs to be preserved in the way it is functioning at the moment, especially since ERNO news exchange is the biggest and very often the only source of stories for the bulletins and news for all ERNO members, through finding the possibilities of collecting membership fees from the member Stations and through applications for additional funds from the International Institutions.
Significance of the ERNO project received full support of all ERNO members at the meeting that showed that this kind of regional media network is still very much needed in the SEE media market and needs to be preserved at any cost.
