Short features addressing local environmental issues in the region of South–East Europe, about the problems of environmental legislation, lack of public awareness and civic involvement on environment protection and specific problems countries in SEE face, like deforestation, industrial exploitation of natural resources, waste management, industrial air pollution and water contamination were exchanged in ERNO during 2007 and comprised in the documentary “Green Paradise - Already Lost or Still Possible to be Regained?”.
The documentary produced with the assistance of UNESCO investigates the most difficult issues for new EU members and EU member-candidates in adopting and implementing EU regulations on environment, eco national and regional initiatives and includes coverage of several dangerous incidents caused by extremely polluted air and water.
