Broader cooperation model
Mr. Boris Bergant, Vice president of the EBU executive board and Mr. Miha Lampreht, Head of Department for Foreign Relations of the Slovenian Radio – Television have presented the proposal on ERNO cooperation model which would allow a wider scope of ERNO members´ joint efforts and bring more benefit in both financial and program quality terms. The proposal for broader cooperation was presented to the general directors of the SEE public broadcasters on the EBU General Assembly in Budapest on July 2-4, 2008, and it is based on the successful model of Nordvision-network of Public Broadcasters of Northern Europe. Project proposal has been prepared by the ERNO Coordination Office's staff after the visit to the Nordvision Secretariate.
It aims to promote culture of cooperation and non-competitive attitudes among broadcasters with strategies for financial benefits, bigger audience share and increased competitiveness with richer international or local commercial media companies. General Directors have expressed their interest and welcomed this idea.
